Vision: "By raising their academic achievement, Azuela dual language students will become successful in bilingualism in English and Spanish, biculturalism, and biliteracy in order to be proactive and productive members of society in their own unique way."

Mission: By providing students with a rigorous standards based and differentiated curriculum, Azuela students will participate in a dual language curriculum that honors each child’s unique strengths and abilities, which will enable them to become bilingual and bicultural to successfully work and contribute in multilingual global society.

Azuela is implementing the dual language program model in grades Pre Kindergarten and Kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year.  Dual Language Education is a long-term, additive, bilingual and bicultural program model.  This model consistently and strategically uses two languages for instruction, learning, and communication.  Our students are receiving instruction in spanish for 80% of the day and english 20% of the day.  Activities and lessons are strategically planned to ensure development of skills in both languages
