2024-25
​The purposes of the PAC shall be:
  • To support the role of patents and the school as equal partners in their children's education under the terms and standards of the ESEA Act and to allow community members an opportunity  contribute to and participate in that partnership.
  • To make recommendations, as an advisory body, to the Local School Principal and Local School Council on the school's Title I Programs, Parent Involvement Policy and School-Parent Compact and the expenditure of Title I funds (Title I ESEA Schoolwide or Targeted Assistance Program funds and parent involvement funds).
The primary goal of the PAC shall be to empower parents to inspire and assist their children to achieve educational goals, including, but not limited to, graduating from high school.

The goals and activities of the School PAC shall be intended to support the role of parents and the community as partners with their local school under the terms of Section 1118 of the ESEA Act, State Law, Chicago Board of Education Rules, Policies and these Guidelines.

Azuela Parent, you are invited to the Annual Title I Parent Meeting on September 18, 2024 at 8:15 am. This meeting will be hosted by Mrs.Carmen Navarro and Mrs.Victoria Infante. We will discuss and review CIWP and Title I Parent involvement.
Azuela Parent, following we will have the Annual Parent Advisory Organizational Meeting on September 18, 2024 at 9:15 am. At this meeting parents will elect officers and set monthly meeting dates and times.

Mr Gonzalo Trejo an academic advisor in the Latin American program of recruitment and educational services of the University of Illinois in Chicago, was presenting a workshop of financial aid education for college expenses.

Teach through Discipline

​The Parent Advisory Council had their monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 17th.  The presentation title was, "Teach through Discipline."  The presenter, Ms. Rosalinda Villasenor,  clearly expressed to the audience the benefits that limits bring when including the appropriate advice and consequences.

Ms. Villasenor gave a presentation on helping parents understand the influence they have to impact their children through teaching values and communicating effectively.  Ms. Villasenor shared with the parents practical information and strategies to implement right away.
