Hello! My name is Doris Campana; I am the Kindergarten Teacher at Mariano Azuela School. I was born and raised in the Back of The Yards. My parents instilled in me a love of hard work. I am married to a Teacher and I have a son named Dominic. I have a B.S. degree from DePaul University in Elementary Education and a M.A. degree from Roosevelt University. I was a finalist for the Kohl McCormick Early Childhood Teaching Award where I came in 4th place. I was nominated for a Golden Apple Award in 2008. I am currently a student at Dominican University working on my ESL/Bilingual endorsement. I enjoy teaching preschool and no two days are ever alike! It is fun, exciting, and hard work! I love to see how children progress from scribbling to printing. It is an amazing process! The best part of my day is singing and reading out loud to my preschoolers. I enjoying teaching at Azuela and with the most amazing teachers on staff. The Home of the Aztecs!
